Omni-ID Fit 400 High Temperature USThe Omni-ID Fit 400 High Temperature is an extremely small on-metal UHF RFID tag designed to survive repeated exposure to very high peak temperatures and challenging thermal shocks, provide very long read range for such a small tag, allow large deployments thanks to its competitive price point.
Measuring just 13.1mm x 7.1mm x 3.1mm and weighing 1.6 grams, the Fit 400 is ideally suited to track hand tools, small IT assets, other metal objects with a tiny space to accommodate a tag. The tag performs very well also when placed in a recess of the metal surface. The rugged encasement and the capability to withstand high temperature up to 225 degrees Celsius in cycling applications makes the Fit 400 a reliable solution for surgical tools, medical implants, food returnable containers and other assets that must undergo autoclave sterilization, automotive parts that go through paint shop processes, high temperatures typical of the oil and gas industry, rubber vulcanization and compression molding in tire manufacturing, acidic plating and other processes that involve corrosive agents.
The product is also compatible with finishing processes such as dipping, coating, heat shrinking and moulding for integration into assets at the point of manufacture.
The tag provides remarkable read range despite its very small size. Interrogated by a fixed reader, the Fit 400 can be read from up to 4 meters, while the distance achieves 2 meters with a handheld reader.
Omni-ID can supply the Fit 100 with adhesive film on the back for easy positioning on the asset surface, and recommends to complete the installation with permanent liquid adhesive to obtain secure bonding during exposure to high temperatures.
This product version is optimized to perform in the 902-928 MHz frequency band (Americas, Japan, China).
