Omni-ID View 10The Omni-ID View 10 is a battery-powered multi-protocol wireless device that features an electrophoretic bi-stable display of 203mm by 162mm to dramatically improve industrial manufacture operations by delivering real-time location and status monitoring of work-in-process items and easy distribution and display of work instructions and process status updates. 802.11b and 802.11g Wi-Fi and passive RFID are present in a single device. Through the Wi-Fi connectivity the View 10 can be controlled and re-programmed, and can deliver real-time location monitoring of assets within a range of 50 meters. Based on Impinj's UHF Gen 2 compliant Monza X-2K Dura chip and connected with the active part of the device, the passive RFID functionality allows to identify and control the product from short distance by means of fixed or mobile Gen 2 readers, and subsequently exchange data through the Wi-Fi long-range data transmission. Furthermore, the View 10 features also an infrared emitter to can be used to identify the device and trigger specific data display instead of using Gen 2 RFID, and 5 tactile buttons with LED feedback that operators can use to send instructions and alerts to the back-end server. The device is offered with compatible readers/hardware, and software for easy and effective development of complete solutions. The View 10 can be attached with adhesive, mounted with holders supplied by Omni-ID, or follow the asset without being physically attached to it. The product can be delivered with custom IP protection to meet different applications' requirements. The battery has a shelf-life of around 2 weeks thanks to black-and-white bistable screen that does not draw power while displaying data. The recharge time is less than 5 hours. All the I/O interfaces and features, along with a rugged encasement, make the View 10 an extremely innovative tool for enhancing industrial production processes.
