The Piccolino range is composed by extremely small RFID tags designed for direct integration into custom form factor housings. Already available with a diameter of 9.5 mm featuring the NXP ICODE SLIX and SLIX-S chips, now these embeddable RFID tags come also in two smaller versions with a diameter of just 7.5 mm, with the same chips as the previously available products. Furthermore, a new 9,5 mm diameter version with Fujitsu MB89R118C chip has been unveiled. This chip provides 16 kbits of user memory and the capability to withstand gamma radiation making it possible to manufacture custom form factor tags and RFID-enable assets that have to undergo gamma sterilization.
