Omni-ID announced the Flex LP and the Flex AI, low profile and flexible RFID tags which bring to the market an interesting mix of features for tracking both metal and non-metal assets.

Flex LP

The Flex LP and Flex AI are passive UHF RFID tags which offer a low cost yet reliable solution to track both metallic and non-metallic objects, both flat and curved surfaces. These UHF tags are ideally suited to IT assets, returnable transport items, furniture and also metal pipes and cylinders. The new Flex tags feature a high performance adhesive and a robust encasement to ensure splash-resistance and long durability. Very similar in appearance, the products have slightly different sizes and read ranges, feature different chips and come in different frequency band versions. The Flex LP measures 75 x 25 x 1.2 mm, can be read at 4 m, features the Alien Technology Higgs-3 chip and comes in two regional versions, ETSI and FCC. The Flex AI is 70 x 19 x 1.45 mm, provides read ranges up to 5 m, has the NXP UCODE G2iL chip and is available only for the FCC frequency band.
