The TMT-3 tags measure 36 by 22 mm and feature a rugged plastic encasement that is rated IP68 and protects the tag from high impact and pressure up to 30.000 psi for 30 days, long term exposure to temperature of 200 degrees Celsius, weather agents, corrosive chemicals such as sodium hydroxide and sulfuric acid, moist steam and Ethylene Oxide (EtO) sterilization processes.
The UHF standard version features Alien Technology Higgs-3 chip and provides read range up to 2 meters when fixed on metal, in real-world conditions. The most common HF versions come with NXP ICODE SLIX, ISO 15693 compliant chip that offers 896 bits of user memory, or NXP MIFARE Classic 1K, ISO 14443 A chip with 6016 bits of user memory. The TMT-3 products are broadly adopted to track returnable metallic containers, high value metal items, metallic parts in manufacturing and maintenance management, also in hazardous environments. These rugged RFID tags can be attached by means of its adhesive backing, industrial glue, screws or metallic bands available from TROI. The TMT-3 tags can be delivered also in LF versions and with other UHF and HF chips upon customers’ request. Customization services include tag pre-encoding and laser engraving.
