Farsens Hydro-H401The Farsens Hydro-H401 is a passive RFID tag designed to allow wireless monitoring of moisture of soil or other materials.
Combining an external probe with a Farsens R-Meter tag, the device is able to measure electrical resistance inside the monitored material and translate it into an output that can be read by any EPC Gen 2 standard compliant reader, along with the 96-bit EPC tag identifier. The measurable resistance values range from 200 ohms to 30 megaohms, while the output is expressed with numbers from 0 to 100.
Intended applications include the measurement of moisture for the purposes of automatic irrigation management and detection of liquids in containers, places that should be completely dry.
The Hydro-H401 is available in non-protected PCB formats for custom encapsulation or embedding in non-metallic assets/materials, or with fully customized encasements to meet any requirement in terms of mounting options and durability for use in demanding environments, including IP68 protection.
The Hydro-H401 measures 76x33 millimeters and performs well across all world's regions.
