Like the previous EAS RFID tags from Retail Advantage, the new A3tag ASU200/ASU258/ASU282 and A3tag ASU200/ASU258/ASU282 combine traditional EAS technologies with the EPC Gen 2 RFID in order to provide unique features and advantages in a single tag. Besides the traditional EAS that allows to combat external shoplifting, these EAS hard tags feature UHF RFID inlays which are used not only to improve inventory control, speed up supply chain and enhance product authentication, but also to prevent store staff thefts when used in combination with the Retailers Advantage’s Multi-Lock Power Detacher.
These EAS RFID tags are smaller than the previously available A3tag products and are well suited to apparel, shoes and many other articles. The A3tag ASA400/ASA458/ASA482 use Alien Technology Squiglette inlay (ALN-9630), while the A3tag ASU200/ASU258/ASU282 tags features SMARTRAC DogBone inlay with Impinj Monza 4D chip. Other RFID inlays will be available soon. The A3tags are available with RFID inlay only (NO EAS), with RFID + EAS part compatible with the 58 kHz Sensormatic technology or with RFID + 8.2 MHz Checkpoint EAS.
